Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Roberts County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy controls its processing.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use an available message form, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share a message outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Technical Information Collected Automatically
Routine web systems may record technical and usage details when a page loads, including:
- The requesting Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device category and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- Date and time records associated with the request.
Cookie Controls
Cookies may help measure how visitors move through the site. Most browsers allow cookies to be limited or blocked. Some functions may work differently when a visitor disables them.
Purposes for Using Information
- Operate the site and maintain useful loading performance.
- Send a requested search to the correct outside provider.
- Understand which Roberts County release-resource pages visitors use.
- Diagnose errors, misuse, and technical failures.
- Display advertising that may reflect inferred interests.
Privacy on Linked Services
This site links to Roberts County release-record contacts, Texas corrections services, government portals, federal locators, and third-party search tools. After you follow a link, the destination’s privacy policy and security practices apply. We do not control those practices.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to observe activity across multiple websites and select targeted advertising. That processing occurs on partner systems rather than ours.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be processed or disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle a query submitted to their tool.
- Analytics providers that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess advertising.
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Requests for official government records are separate. Texas Government Code Chapter 552, the Texas Public Information Act, governs requests sent to covered Texas governmental bodies. It does not turn this private site into a government records custodian.
Security Has Practical Limits
We use ordinary safeguards intended to protect information in our control. No internet-connected service, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed secure against every incident. We therefore cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Adults Only
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, you may:
- Ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Ask that eligible personal data be erased.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where that choice applies.
These rights concern data held by this private site. For a sheriff, TDCJ, court, search partner, or advertising provider, direct the request to that separate custodian.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as practices or legal requirements change. An updated version becomes effective when it is posted here with a revised effective date.
