Roberts County 72-Hour Release Window
The Roberts County Sheriff’s official page does not provide a rolling 72-hour list, active inmate roster, released archive, mobile app, or booking-photo gallery. It also publishes no feed URL, update schedule, field list, or retention rule. A three-day search therefore depends on identifying the date range and asking the custodian for existing records within it.
The official sheriff-page image shows the county’s web contact route and the absence of a public recent-release link.

Use that office to confirm the county custody event, but follow any transfer to the agency that physically held the person.
Build a Roberts County Three-Day Release Check
The most reliable method separates a quick status inquiry from a durable document request.
- Set the range. Write the exact start and end timestamps for the three days being reviewed. Keep the time zone and any overnight boundary clear.
- Prepare identity details. Supply the full legal name, date of birth if lawfully known, approximate booking date, and any cause or booking number.
- Call for custody status. Ask the Roberts County Sheriff at 806-868-3121 whether the person is currently held, housed elsewhere, transferred, or released. If custody moved, ask for the destination.
- Request the existing release lines. Ask for the relevant jail release-log entries within the fixed range, or the named person’s booking and release sheet. Do not demand that the office create a new public list.
- Reconcile the result. Compare release time, authority, destination, and court cause number. Contact the receiving facility when the entry reflects a transfer.
Use Jail Releases: 24 Hours for a tighter same-day question. Use the Roberts County released inmate search when the person’s release could fall outside three days.
What a Roberts County 72-Hour Record Can Show
No county webpage promises a standard set of fields. Request the existing records that contain the following items and allow the custodian to identify the proper local document name.
| Field to request | Use in a three-day review |
|---|---|
| Name, date of birth, aliases | Confirms the event belongs to the intended person. |
| Booking or agency number | Links records across the arrest, detention, and exit. |
| Booking and release timestamps | Determines whether the completed event falls inside the fixed 72-hour range. |
| Charge and cause numbers | Points to the Roberts County court file and signed orders. |
| Release authority or type | May distinguish bond, court order, time served, sentence completion, dismissal, or transfer. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Shows whether local custody ended in community release or continued elsewhere. |
| Booking photograph | Provides a dated identification image when legally available. |
A release record should be read as a custody event. A court dismissal or bond order can explain the authority, but the signed order may precede the physical exit. Another warrant, detainer, or agency hold may continue custody after the Roberts County record closes.
Weekend Roberts County Release Searches
A three-day range is often chosen to bridge days when the searcher did not contact the office, but the research found no Roberts County weekend or holiday release schedule. It also found no published exit door, family waiting area, property pickup rule, or standard processing time. Do not assume that a court’s authorization means a person walked out at a predictable hour.
Call ahead and ask whether release was only authorized or physically completed, whether another hold is active, where a ride should wait, and how property will be returned. If the office is closed for routine records business, preserve the fixed date range and submit the written request. The sheriff page lists normal business hours as Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but operational custody work and public-record processing are different functions.
Request Roberts County Three-Day Release Entries
Send the request to the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office, PO Box 66, Miami, TX 79059; email bruce.skidmore@co.roberts.tx.us; or fax 806-868-6521. Call 806-868-3121 to confirm receipt and the preferred delivery route. The county does not publish a dedicated online PIA form, a jail-record fee schedule, or a retention statement.
Ask for electronic copies of existing release-log entries between the fixed start and end times. If the request concerns one person, add the full name, date of birth if known, approximate arrest date, booking or cause number, booking sheet, release time, release type or authority, receiving agency or destination, and booking photograph. Ask for an itemized written estimate before chargeable work exceeds a limit you select. This narrow format reduces ambiguity and avoids asking staff to compile a custom report.
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 provides the Public Information Act framework. The office may redact or withhold information protected by law, including material affected by law-enforcement exceptions, juvenile rules, expunction, sealing, victim protections, or confidentiality statutes. Invite redaction of confidential fields where the remainder can lawfully be released. The Attorney General’s general response framework uses a ten-business-day decision point, but public information must be handled promptly and the actual production time depends on the records and legal review.
Why Missing Roberts County Names Require a Transfer Check
The November 2021 TCJS housed-elsewhere report counted two Roberts County inmates in other facilities. That historical aggregate does not identify the people, the receiving jail, or present conditions. It does establish a locally important distinction: no name on a Roberts page does not establish release when physical detention may occur outside the county operation.
Ask Roberts County which facility actually housed the person and which agency created the physical custody log. Roberts may hold arrest or court-routing information while the receiving jail has the booking photograph, cell-placement record, and physical exit entry. Send separate, tailored requests rather than assuming one custodian possesses the complete record.
If the destination is TDCJ, the current offender search helps locate someone still in state custody, while the no-cost information email can provide incarceration history and a past release date. If a federal agency took custody, distinguish USMS pretrial detention from BOP sentenced custody. Use ICE’s locator only when immigration custody is a real possibility. In every system, an exit from one custodian can be a transfer into another.
Fallbacks Beyond the 72-Hour Jail Request
Texas IVSS-Counties is the present county-notification portal that replaced the older VINE channel. Roberts County participation was not confirmed, so check the live county selector at IVSS-Counties. A prospective alert can report a status change from a participating source, but no alert does not prove continuing custody or release. Preserve an alert and verify it with the feeding jail’s record.
The Roberts County/District Clerk at 806-868-2341 is the durable route for the case docket and signed bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, jail-credit, or release-related order. Court disposition and physical jail exit must be reconciled. The clerk’s order can explain why release was authorized, while the sheriff or receiving facility records when custody actually ended.
Historical aggregate data cannot replace a named-person list. A TCJS 45-Day Report for March through May 2022 recorded one release in May and none in March or April. It offers old system context only. It cannot populate a present three-day list, name a released person, or establish a current release rate.
